This vegan gravy is really authentic and goes well with German dumplings or mashed potatoes. You'll only need 4 ingredients and 5 minutes for this sauce.
Add vegetable broth, soy sauce and onion powder or other spices, if using, to a small sauce pan and bring to a boil.
Whisk together flour with 1/2 water (the best way to do this is by shaking flour and water in a sealable mason jar to get rid of any clumps).
As soon as the broth is boiling, slowly add the flour water mixture and whisk to remove any clumps.
